Les Dallas Mavericks ont été éliminés des Playoffs dès le premier tour. Dans la nuit de samedi à dimanche, Oklahoma City a remporté un quatrième succès en autant de matches, s'imposant 103-97 au Texas. Les coéquipiers de Dirk Nowitzki étaient pourtant bien partis puisqu'ils comptaient 13 points d'avance à 10 minutes de la fin du match mais James Harden a tenu à merveille son rôle de sixième homme en inscrivant 15 points dans le dernier quart-temps. Dallas est éliminé avec un "sweep" (4-0), une première pour un champion depuis le Heat de Miami en 2007.
